The Italian car maker has announced there is a future for hybrid technology to filter into their production plans in addition to their V8 performance vehicles.
Maserati Australia General Manager Glen Sealy told the media Maserati would continue to honor its racing heritage, but explained a new era loomed for saving applications. “We’ll always have a petrol, but nothing’s ever off limits,” Sealy said.
Sealy’s announcement matched Maserati Chief Harald Wester’s statement to the media at the Geneva Motor Show that stated a plug-in hybrid drive train would become available in 2017.
Maserati has already made leaps towards fuel-efficient technology with the diesel-powered Quattropporte and Ghlibi models.

In an interview with Autoglide, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director, Andy Gross, announced that there is more excitement down the road for the F-TYPE.
Right now the F-TYPE Coupe packs a punch with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 under the hood that produces 500 hp and can make the car zoom from 0 to 64 in only 4 seconds.
Gross explained, “There are other things we will undoubtedly do. The F-TYPE will be a range of products not a product.”
This creates speculation that lighter and even more powerful versions of the F-TYPE will be coming to showrooms. Jaguar has already flirted in the area with the F-TYPE Project 7, where Jaguar produced 250 examples of the convertible version completed with a 575 hp version of the V8, weight-shedding and new aerodynamic body kits.
Gross predicts that by the year 2020, we will be able to see and experience how much performance Jaguar has to offer.

Car enthusiast, Mark Cryer, has created the world’s fastest smart car.
Cryer has named the 2009 smart car the “Nu Big Thing.” This smart car is unlike any other. The “Nu Big Thing” is powered by a 9.0-liter Big Block Chevy engine that is rated at 725-horsepower.
The meticulously designed car has the need for speed. With new larger and wider tires, this Smart was able to put down its fastest quarter-mile run yet, with a time of 10.26 seconds at 130.83 mph.
According to Cryer, the smart car is still being tweaked to reach even higher speeds.

Land Rover will be doing its part to assist the well-known British spy, James Bond, by supplying a Ranger Rover Sport SVR and a Defender Big Foot in the upcoming motion picture, “Spectre.”
The Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Sport SVR have already been filmed in Australia. The SVR is Land Rover’s fastest and most powerful vehicle produced by the company packed with a 5.0-liter and V8 engine.
The Defender Big Foot was made in 2010 as a supplemental vehicle for the brand’s auto shows. The defender features 37-inch rims with 395/70 Mickey Thompson tires, perfect for James Bond’s adventures.
Look out for these Land Rover vehicles to drive into theaters on November 6 in the latest James Bond film, “Spectre.”
